Steve (& Libby) were able to leave the hospital later yesterday (Monday). The pain issue seems to be more under control. The plan is to be in Minneapolis until Steve is able to travel and then they will return to Fargo so Libby can get back to school and Steve can recover from his surgery.

Discharged–hopefully forever!! No more chemo!!! Steve did have a delay because he has clostridium difficile–a colitis type infection. Because of that he did not excrete the methotrexate (chemo drug) as quickly as usual. BUT he is DONE with those awful chemo drugs. He will be continuing measurements for his prosthetic leg and on Feb. 20 will have complete scans, etc. to make sure that he is cancer-free. It has been a long journey, but with all the love, support, and concern of all of you, WE MADE IT!!

Steve gets out of the hospital late Thanksgiving afternoon. He’s able to eat some turkey and trimmings at Gruber’s and at his sister Kathy’s.

Steve was discharged on Tuesday, August 16th. He was eager to see the apartment. Steve is on alot of medications including IV antibiotics and is experiencing extreme pain. But it is amzing how he can move himself around. And he is a good wheelchair driver!! Steve is really enjoying sleeping in a real bed again and breathing some fresh air!! The cards, calls, e-mails, and visits are much appreciated. Anyone wanting the apartment address can contact any of us.
